BNL Girls Wrestling Coach Recap 12/4

On Monday 12/5 the BNL Girls Wrestling Team competed at the LaSalle Girls Wrestling Tournament. There were mixed results but a lot of progress is being made and the team is getting better each match.

Vivienne P had a strong start, pinning her first opponent. In her second match she started well, but made an unforced error that cost her the match. Vivienne ended up 2nd in her group.

Julia S. picked up a win by defending well and remaining calm as her opponent made a series of mistakes. Julia placed 3rd in her round robin group.

Tallulah P won her first two matches fairly easily. By the third match Tallulah was pretty exhausted from some late nights and long days prior to the tournament and dropped a match she wouldn’t normally 4-2 to a newer wrestler placing 2nd in her group.

Julia M. and Sukhleen didn’t pick up any wins on the day, but were improving their technique with every match.

A good learning day at an early season tournament. -Coach Prather
