Students attend Youth Leadership conference

On December 4, select students from grades 6-8 attended the 2014 Youth Leadership Summit at Sage College in Troy.

Sponsored by the Academy of Character Education, the Youth Summit provides a forum to empower students to create ways to positively impact Character Education. Students attended seminars with topics ranging from suicide prevention techniques, to overcoming adversity, to mindfulness.

The event also gave students an opportunity to network with peers from other schools from throughout the capital region.

This dual building field trip was made possible through the collaboration of School Psychologists Tylea Gebbie and Tricia White, School Counselor Meghan Pepe, and Grade 6 teacher Kellyn Moore.
