BNL Modified Girls Volleyball Coach Recap 10/4
The BNL Modified Girls Volleyball team has played 2 games so far this week. On Monday, both A tem and B team had tough losses against Cambridge. Yesterday, 10/4 they rebounded and both teams had victories against Stillwater. The A team won their match, 2 games to 1 , winning 25-21 and 25-23 then dropping the 3rd set 21-25. Their win came from having consistent serves and strong team work. The B team won all 3 of their sets with scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 25-19. Ava Sandstrom (New Lebanon) put up 10 service points and Hanna McRay (Berlin) had 9 service points. Next the modified girls face Waterford-Halfmoon in Berlin at 4:15 pm on Friday. – Coach Olson
BNL JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach Recap 10/4
The Varsity and JV teams fought hard against a very tough Stillwater team. The varsity lost 12-25, 17-25 and 21-25. Jayli Capasso came off the bench to make some great defensive plays while Alexis, Anna, Ciarra, Madison L and Madison C attacked at the net. Ciarra J led the kills with 6, Alexis R contributed 5 points, 6 digs and 8 assists, Anna L contributed 7 points, 1 kill, 3 digs and 4 assists, Madison C had 4 kills and Madison L contributed 1 ace and 2 kills. The JV lost their match 15-25 and 21-25. Holly W was on fire with her serves earning 10 points, Julia S contributed 4 points and 2 kills, Layla Y contributed 5 points, Izzy B contributed 3 points, Maddison K had 1 point, Cadence W had 2 points. -Coach VanVorst.
