The First-Ever BNL Preseason Baseball Clinic Series Begins

Coaches Chris Bonaquisti, Andrew Starks, and Kristopher Moseley from the Berlin-New Lebanon baseball program opened the first in a series of voluntary preseason baseball clinics on Saturday, December 10th.  The offseason program, which will run for six sessions from December through February, was developed to provide an organized opportunity for BNL players to “shake off the rust,” and revisit baseball specific skills before the season begins.  Over one dozen student-athletes between the two districts, modified through Varsity, have signed up to take advantage of one or more sessions thus far.

Coach Bonaquisti and Coach Starks said, “We all feel that the way the season ended for both teams, the baseball program is in a good place. We are getting better each year and making strides. We will be competitive from top to bottom, from Varsity to JV to Modified.”

“It’s great to see so many players sign up to volunteer a few hours on a handful of Saturday’s to get a head start on a baseball season that is still months away.  Reps matter and I have no doubt that these players, and the teams they will play on, will be in a better position to compete as a result of their work here.” Coach Moseley added.

Upcoming sessions will be held at Walter B. Howard Elementary on December 17th (11AM-1PM), January 7th and 21st (6PM-8PM), and February 4th and 11th (6PM-8PM).  Students can still sign up for one or more of the remaining sessions and are encouraged to do so by filling out the Google Form at the following link, tinyurl.com/bnlbaseball.
