New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School teacher Brian Dempsey was recognized with a “Teachers of Excellence” award by Senator Kathy Marchione during a ceremony on Thursday night, June 5, at Columbia High School. Mr. Dempsey and 24 other area teachers were recognized for their commitment and academic excellence.
Mr. Dempsey is finishing his 7th year at New Lebanon and presently teaches a grade
7-12 multi-subject skills class and co-teaches a 10th grade Geometry class with Garafalia Hawkins.
“I am very grateful for all of the support that I’ve received from parents, fellow teachers and administrators here (not to mention the great kids that we teach),” said Mr. Dempsey.
